WhatsApp Voice Calling is now active and being tested for Android

The word is out that WhatsApp voice calling is now active and being tested for Android users as we speak. Only some users has got access to the new feature but there are methods to get it quicker.

Currently WhatsApp has given access to the new feature for some users but if you would like to activate the feature on your phone you will need to do two things.

1. Make sure your version of WhatsApp is updated to version 2.11.528 from the Google Play store, or 2.11.531 from WhatsApp’s website.

2. Another user that has already got the service installed needs to call you from WhatsApp to activate the feature on your phone.

So essentially for now while the feature is getting tested users will activate each other until it rolls out to all users.

So the quickest way to activate it is to find who’s already got it and get them to phone you.

Good luck! I will post more updates as I get them.

Hi. I'm currently 31 years old and I'm a full time Front-End Web Developer. I love cats and I love life.... sometimes. I created this blog when I was figuring out how Wordpress works and it eventually started to get a whole lot of traffic. I'm now trying to help fellow South Africans with general how to stuff for example how to renew your car license disc and also reviews like restaurants etc. I haven't done much yet but I will soon start to do more and more. I will try to write as many blog posts as I can. I hope you enjoy this blog and don't forget to leave a comment. Oh and you're welcome to write a guest post or review.
