Hi. I'm currently 31 years old and I'm a full time Front-End Web Developer. I love cats and I love life.... sometimes. I created this blog when I was figuring out how Wordpress works and it eventually started to get a whole lot of traffic. I'm now trying to help fellow South Africans with general how to stuff for example how to renew your car license disc and also reviews like restaurants etc. I haven't done much yet but I will soon start to do more and more. I will try to write as many blog posts as I can. I hope you enjoy this blog and don't forget to leave a comment. Oh and you're welcome to write a guest post or review. Hey. Yes. A friend who works with me got his Cell C update on Friday. Maybe it updates in some weird sequence or something. Keep on trying.

        Hi, so it’s me again.

On Cell C network with the Galaxy S2 and it still says no update available… I have tried over the air upgrade and via Kies but still nothing. I’ve even formatted my phone and still no update. Does anyone have any clue as to what i can do to upgrade my phone… This is killing me day by day… Please help!

Just showed update available via Kies for MTN S2… Finally!

  11. Axen says:

I see the update is out for MTN in my KIES but it is not allowing me to download. Gets to 2% and says that there is an error in the file, then closes. My phone is undisturbed and plugged in the whole time

    • Francdore says:

Hey. Maybe it’s because everyone’s trying to download now at the same time. Maybe the server can’t handle the traffic.

    Hi.

My phone told me some time last week and again this afternoon that there is an update for my phone. I download it over the phone (without Kies) but after both times the phone reboots, says installing firmware….gets to around 40 % and then reboots and says failed to install firmware 🙁 I don’t have access to internet on my PC without using my cellphone. So stuck in a catch 22. Any ideas?
    P.S. I am on Vodacom

  14. Donald says:

Kies says update *yay* but as above 2% then dies. *looks for error 37* 😛

  15. Madelein says:

Hey guys my phone had the update, i installed it and am now a happy ICS user….. Maybe try doing it without KIes?? I have wifi so it worked better that way for me….

    Hello…

So, I just picked up my new, shiny S2…and am very frustrated as I can not update it to ICS. I am on vodacom, and every time I click on Software Update, it says that there aren’t any updates available and when plugged into my mac through Kies, it says that my firmware is the latest one…

    Help…anyone?
