Elastislide – links to pages does not work. How to fix it.

Francois La Cock

Hi. I'm currently 31 years old and I'm a full time Front-End Web Developer. I love cats and I love life.... sometimes. I created this blog when I was figuring out how Wordpress works and it eventually started to get a whole lot of traffic. I'm now trying to help fellow South Africans with general how to stuff for example how to renew your car license disc and also reviews like restaurants etc. I haven't done much yet but I will soon start to do more and more. I will try to write as many blog posts as I can. I hope you enjoy this blog and don't forget to leave a comment. Oh and you're welcome to write a guest post or review. Just click on Write Guest Post on the top main menu.

    Thank you but i think better idea is to change “return false” to “return true”

    Acutally all you need to do is add an ‘onClick’ option to your initialise object …

    ie

    $(‘#carousel’).elastislide({
    imageW : 120,
    minItems : 2,
    border : 0,
    onClick : true
    });

    I have been pulling my hair out trying to get Elastislide to work with WordPress, specifically on the Genesis Framework. Has anyone been able to successfully achieve this and if so, would you be willing to share? Thank you.

    Thanks for this tip. This confirms what I experienced while trying to use Elastiside on a WordPress blog together with PrettyPhoto. PrettyPhoto was adding a link icon which was intended to be clickable but I discovered that Elastiside was preventing the click from working. I fixed it by commenting out the four lines after the comment // item click event.

    Hi there I love this plugin, at the moment i’m using on an HTML microsite, and integrating the website into WordPress, i’m having difficulties in the integration process as it calls the images manualy, what i want to do is to be able to add the images as a featured image post or as a gallery.

    If you guys could help on that will be much appreciated, will also consider a donation for the wordpress plugin development.

      Hi Pedro,

      Why don’t you just pull the post’s featured image using wordpress code? Sorry, are you looking for the code that pulls in the featured image?

      Thanks

      Francois
